LAST OF THE BEST...

Jeff and I went to Emory this weekend to see the last of my friends from High School get married. The boys stayed at Mom's while we got a hotel in Sulphur Springs. It was great...nap before the wedding and sleeping in the next day!
We dropped the boys off by 1:00 on Saturday. Then we headed to the hotel for a nap. We were running a little late to the wedding, but made it just in time for everyone to see us speed up to the ceremony...it was an outdoor wedding, I did not know that part. Oh well! We were not the only ones, so I felt better about that. Anyway, it was a beautiful wedding and we had a great time. Love, Food, Dancing...where could you go wrong? Only by having your 8 month old stay with Maammaw and PawPaw when he does not take a bottle. Mom tried everything. Andrew would not take a bottle (many different types of nipples), sippy cup, or regular cup. Thankfully he is on solids or Jeff and I might have had a baby join us at the hotel. It was a rough night for Mom...needless to say, she took a nap on Sunday.
Congratulations Michelle and Chris!

Aubrey, Cam, Brandy, Stacey, and Michelle..."Crazy Bitch" was playing in the background.

I love dancing and finally, an event we can go to and dance.

COUSIN & "Brother"

Jeff and Joshua went to meet Morgan and Jack in South Carolina a couple of weekends ago. They had a great time. Jeff was amazed at how small the babies were. He also commented on how busy Kristen was...not sure she ever sat down. Joshua thought the babies were so very cute. He kept calling Morgan his "cousin" and Jack his "brother"...is it because we can only seem to have boys here? Well, Joshua is a natural at having little ones around him...see pictures below. If there are in more baby Kennedy's in our future I will have a great helper.

Joshua looks at the camera while Jack is saying, "No more pictures, please!"

BROTHER IN TOWN

My brother, Cameron, was in town training in Grand Prarie. We took a few pictures while he was here. The pictures below show my brother and Joshua when he was almost 2 months old. The other picture is of Cameron and Andrew this last week, 7 months old. FYI, Cameron was born with a cleft lip as well...
We had a good time while he was here. We have seen him more this trip than any other trip really. Nice since he is leaving for Afganistan in July.

AWE! TOUCHING AGAIN!

Jack came home on Tuesday! Morgan was so glad to have him home, see picture. They put them in the pack and play not touching. Morgan wiggled and squirmed until she found her brother. It is a beautiful thing to see!
Jeff and Joshua are there now visiting with everyone, so I should have more pictures when he gets back. I bet Morgan and Jack are even more adorable in person.

MTM PLAY DATE

A group of us from the Thursday Night MTM group got together for the kids to play at Willowbend Mall on the 12th. Tara Hrbacek, Bridget Farell, Melissa Henricks, Tracy Schwegman, and I were there with our kids. FYI, if you decide to go on a Saturday be sure to get there by 9:30 in order to have at least one hour of play time without a ton of kids running around.

Joshua riding the S&P packet.

Schwegman girls having a snack.

Tara reading to Joshua and Jake..."Hello! Why are you boys not running around playing? Get some energy out"

Andrew kept crawling backwards off of the toys...

I tried to get a picture of all the kids, but they would not stay still long enough...other kids kept getting in the way too.

LOVING THE TREES IN DALLAS

Mom stayed with me this last week while Jeff was in Manila. She watched the boys while I went to my MTM board meeting and decided that it was time that Joshua learn how to climb a tree. So, she and the boys went to the back yard and she put Joshua in two different trees. He had a lot of fun...hello future broken arms!

Joshua in the BIG tree.

Joshua in the SOFT tree.

I look forward to climbing trees with him. Growing up we played "tree tag", which my uncle taught us to play. Shortly after learning how to play my sister fell out of the tree...she was fine and we continued to play. Gotta love the country!

NOT F5 BUT A TODDLER TORNADO

Not sure if you have ever been in a tornado, but I am in one almost daily. The scale of the tornadoes are worse than an F5...these are Toddler tornadoes.

Pictures of the Toddler tornadoes about 5 minutes after it hits.

Pictures of the area before the tornado hits again and the debree that I enjoy seeing in the floor.

If you experience such an event, remain calm and try not to control the tornado. Moving into the path of the tornado may cause damage to you. Once the tornado is at rest a clean floor can be found once again. Know that the tornado will soon be old enough to clean up all by himself...!

THE THINGS WE LEARN WHILE YOUNG...

Joshua got a duck game from Mimi & Grampie for Easter. He and I were playing the game tonight when he showed me his new trick...not a part of the game. He can stick a rubber duck to his tongue and his lip. He was very excited about his new talent...he sat there sticking the duck to his tongue and lip for about 30 minutes. Oh boy, the things we learn while we are young...I wonder if he could have a career in duck sticking?

"I can do my lip too!"

I am so proud...I even took pictures and blogged about it.

MOATS TWINS ARRIVAL

Most of you know the good news, but now you can see some pictures...Morgan Kennedy and Jack McArthur came into the world on March 29, 2008. Morgan weighed 4 lbs. 11 oz and was 16 1/2 inches long. Jack weighed 4 lbs. 15.5 oz and was 17 inches long.
Morgan is now home and doing well after some concerns with her biliruben level. She still has her nights and days confused...she loves to snuggle with Mom, Dad, Mimi, & Grampie.
Jack is still in Special Needs NICU. He is gaining weight rapidly between nursing, bottle, and feeding tube. We pray that he will be home very soon with Mom, Dad, and Morgan. Although, he is getting some one-on-one time with everyone each day...he will have to share his time once home.
Enjoy the pictures...I hope to have more soon as they change so quickly.

Morgan 3-4 days old. She is as cute as a button...about the same size too. You cannot see it, but she has a lot of hair.

Jack smiling away...he is adorable!

I cannot wait to see them in May.

COUNTRY DAYS

The boys and I went to Emory this weekend to see my Mom...she wanted us to go to Canton First Mondays to pick up some guinea fowl. We did not make it to Canton...we did relax by playing some games (Backgammon), visiting the cousins, going shopping, getting pictures taken, and enjoying the weather outside on Saturday.
My family is pretty competitive. When we get together to play games it can get ugly. However, since Backgammon is a two person game I did not have to leave Mom's early. She beat me the first game and then I won the second. We both called it quits before we played a third. I know, hard to believe I did not want more.
My sister's youngest boys, Leelan and Oliver, hung out with us on Friday. It was fun to watch the boys play together. Andrew pulled up for the first time. I was sitting by the coffee table with Andrew in my lap. Oliver was already standing by the table...Andrew had to see what Oliver was looking at and pulled right on up...he did this a few times that day. Andrew also started saying, "dadadadadadada" while we were there.
The cousins had to leave and we went shopping. Shopping in the country can mean a 30 minute drive to the nearest Wal-Mart. However, Emory now has a Family Dollar, Alco, and Brookshires...10 minute drive from the house. While at Brookshires a complete stranger, to me not to Mom because in the country everyone knows you, came up to Andrew and was kissing all over him. I think I would have freaked if I were in Dallas and this happened. Then, Mom came up and started talking to the stranger.
Mom wanted to get the boys picture taken, so we went to the Portrait Studio at Wal-Mart. This was a half-day event. You can see a collage of the pictures below.
Finally, we spent some time playing outside. We played ball, drove around in the truck, played on the swing set PawPaw made, and made sure we stayed away from the snakes.
We had a good time...Joshua said, "Momma, did you have fun with me at MaamMaw's and PawPaw's? I sure did have fun with you at MaamMaw's and PawPaw's!"

A few of the pics from the studio.

Andrew in his John Deer hat and a building block.
Joshua sliding...

"Ooops! I better reverse or I will hit the house."

"This stick is good PawPaw."

Thanks Mom for a good weekend!

TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALL GAME...

Cade and Joshua watching the guys play..."Monkey See, Monkey Do"

Jeff plays softball on Monday nights in Plano. Joshua loves going to these games so that he can play at a real ball field...he enjoyes watching his Daddy play ball too, of course! The Nighthawks won 8 to 0...they are the best team in their league.
I like to go and watch the guys play, but from the time we get there until we leave Joshua hounds me about playing ball with him. As you can see below, he has his own bat, balls, batting helmet, and glove. He does not have a bag for everything, so he uses a Rugrats backpack for his baseball sporting goods. He is too young for ball in Dallas, but only by a couple of months...those darn November birthdays!

Wishing he could be on the field...

Getting ready to hit the ball...mom's a good pitch!

Watch me swing...

Playing catch...he has to wear his "catching" hat and not his batting hat...
Joshua likes to put his bat on the fence..."That's where the baseball players put it mom!"

Cade liked the bat too...
